Traveller or Tourist?

Hi ,guys I haven't being able to post these days; I have also not visited any new place recently, but is it important to go to new places to be an traveller?

Everyone now a days speaks so fondly about travelling, but everyone ends becoming a tourist. Now, this is not bad thing. But in last decades we have lost beauty of places and essence of travelling. Mostly everyone is travelling just to escape the mediocre lifestyles, we don't truly meet new people or make new friends. We get our whole trip planned, which ruins the surprise element. Imagine if you haven't preplanned your trip than you will roam around the place in search of hotel, communication will increase, you will understand the local public, you will get to know the stories of places and people, the rikshaw walas or taxi drivers will tell you more about the places local people prefer(they are actually the places you will find gems).
This was about if we go to places that are far away from where we live but... is it important to go far away. You can discover your town, where you reside. There's one phrase i love most about travelling "Act like tourist in your own town but be a traveller if you go outside your town". You would be amazed when you will explore your place with the eyes and attitude of an tourist. You will find so many hidden things you will discover new people if u go a mile ahead. So travel, but not just to escape mediocrity but to learn and discover.

Technology and Travelling

Dump your phone.
I will suggest you that keep your phone away when you travel, or even when you go for walk. The technology today is ruining the human-human relations. Yeah its true that "when music gets on world gets turned off" but this has become the habit of ours. We mostly use music to escape the world which is reducing the communication between humans, you will enjoy the life stories of people much more than you enjoy music.
"Travelling is knowledge", "don't tell me how educated you are rather tell me how much you have travelled"
All these phrases hold there meaning when we actually travel, when we get away from the mobile phones and social medias.
Take photos so that you can take them back as memories(keep selfies minimum rather take the pics of the place). Don't get so involved in taking photographs that you ruin the essence of the present moment.

Don't let your happiness depend on travelling. don't let technology replace your moments. be happy, discover you home town change your perspective to find the hidden jewels.
