Picture blog: Life of a Mumbaikar

Hey guys, I apologize that my posts aren't frequent. I am student so I battle to get time for the blog and also I need to get into the mood to write, because without it I won't be able to indulge you all in my writings.
This post is somewhat different from my other posts. This is something new. I went to Mumbai recently, and as the saying goes, ' Mumbai is not place, it's an experience'.
This is I suppose is a life of Mumbaikar. I have tried to capture it in my pictures.

Dreams... That's what attracts people towards Mumbai, 'The city of dreams'. People say that you don't have to sleep hungry in Mumbai.. but there's no guarantee that you will be sleeping under a roof. The city gives lots of opportunities, thing is you have to be fast enough to catch them; because there are lakhs of people out there to catch them.
"The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra." You have to be that little extra to get success in this city. You must be willing to struggle that extra, you must be able to face that extra rejection, you must be that extra positive, you must keep going that extra, you must be able to digest your success that extra...
To fulfill your dreams you must keep going and going, this city promises success if you are capable of doing that extra.

Bhel; made with puffed rice and lots of spices. Almost daily dose for Mumbaikars.
Khau gali i.e. eateries on street
"Maa ka khana" or "ghar ka khana"
These phrases are nostalgic mainly for the one who stays away from home. But in Mumbai these phrases makes a person feel longing, because even if they reside at their home no one eats at home.. there's no time, the clock moves faster in this city. Mostly, people survive on street food which comprises of sandwich, Pani Puri, bhel, chat, pav bhaji and the famous vada pav. All the above-mentioned are available at affordable cost(below ₹50). This street food produces equality in Mumbai, as this food is not just for poor or middle class people, this is also for Richie Richs . Be it a rickshaw driver or high court lawyer, everyone tastes the same food.

"I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question."
Just like them(pegion) in Mumbai there's no personal time left for people. They live in a family but though they don't reside together. But just like the pegions people there at Mumbai can't leave the security behind them, security of their job, their lifestyle. Mumbai is like spider's web, once you get into it, you can't free yourself.

Mumbai local
This is rare sight for Mumbaikars, a free seat in local train. There is so much population in Mumbai that you get fed up of seeing people, especially during the prime hours. Mumbai is not always a pleasant experience, in local if you don't take care u might get groped.
The people here are like Colors of rainbow, very vivid, but you might not like every color you get encountered with.

We started with dreams.. we end on dreams. Till 2016 Mumbai was the economic capital of India. Dreams truly come true in this city. You just need that fire inside you that keeps fueling you.

Crores of people, crores of rupees, crores of experiences... One city "MUMBAI"
